The lake is approximately 22 kilometers long and 11 kilometers wide and is situated at an elevation of 880 meters above sea level. The lake is known for its picturesque scenery, including floating gardens, stilt houses, and traditional fishing boats.

The Intha people who live on and around the lake have developed a distinctive way of life, including their unique fishing techniques, the cultivation of floating gardens, and the production of silk and lotus fabrics. Visitors can experience this unique culture by taking a boat tour of the lake or by visiting the various villages and markets that surround the lake.

In recent years, Inle Lake has become a popular tourist destination in Myanmar, attracting visitors from around the world who come to experience its natural beauty and cultural heritage.

Inle Lake is a freshwater lake located in the Shan State of Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) in Southeast Asia. It is the second-largest lake in Myanmar and is famous for its unique way of life of the Intha people who live on and around the lake.
